Art of being David Galiagher Tales from the script: "My most embarring moment from the show was having to wear those too-small candy cane pajamas for the Christmas episode. That was horrible. My friends didn't cut me any slack about it, either." On the prowl: "I own a Plymouth Prowler, which is a very noticeable, unique-looking hot rod. Mine is yellow. It's my special occasion car, since I the last thing I want is to find out it's been stolen or scratched." Top secret: "The strangest rumor that I've ever heard about myself was that I was going out with Beverley Mitchell [who plays Lucy]. That's a recent one, so it's probably still going around." Webmaster: "My dad runs my Web site, which is dgnews.net. It's so funny, he spends hours in our garage working on the site. He's extremely thorough." In tune: "I listen to every kind of music except country and disco. Right now my favorite band is Linkin Park." On being a sucker for romance: "I may talk the big talk...tell myself I want to date a lot of girls, be a player, be a pimp, but when it comes down to it, I really am that kind of guy who'd rather find someone I really like and do the boyfriend thing." On being a film student: "Since I was little, getting [my bachelor's degree] has always been part of the master plan. The entire college experience is so great. Living on campus, learning about film, playing Ultimate Frisbee and going to parties. It really is true when they say you find yourself in college." On his most mortifying 7th Heaven moment: "Sadly, my first kiss, ever, was on television. The entire world saw my little, dorky, awkward person try to kiss a girl for the first time. I was so scared!" On being cool: "I hate that whole cool crowd thing. I realized that in high school. High school was such a completely weird experience. You've got cliques, the cool crowd, the not-so-cool crowd, the jocks, the nerds, the whatever and it is so lame and petty and not at all progressive. In college, thankfully, you don't have to deal with all that. People don't have time to make fun of other people." On turning twenty: "It's hard to imagine that I am going to be twenty [years old]. My teen years are going to be gone soon, at least on paper, and that is so strange to me because I have made that entire journey on television." The WB: Is your real-life family like your TV family? The WB: Do you like having so many brothers and sisters? The WB: Do your parents cut you any slack at home because you're a star? The WB: Is it intimidating to be considered a heartthrob? The WB: Do your friends give you a hard time about seeing you in teen magazines and things like that? The WB: So was ping the driving test a big deal? The WB: Are your parents paranoid about letting you drive on your own? The WB: Do you ever miss the normal life and things like football games or school dances? The WB: What about college? Do you plan on going while you're still on the show? The WB: So what sort of things do you like to do to unwind? The WB: What would you like to see happen for Simon in the future? David Gallagher was one of the Celebrities First to 'Touch' Nintendo DS David Gallagher wants to be active David Gallagher, 19, perhaps better known as "7th Heaven"'s Simon Camden, stood up to say a few words. Gallagher immediately lightened the mood when he made reference to his show, mentioning that, from what he has heard, his program is somewhat of a "guilty pleasure." Gallagher spoke of his Republican parents, and how he was nervous at first that they may not support his decision to back the Kerry/Edwards campaign. "Everyone umes that kids take on the political values that their families have, which is absolutely not true," he said. He was pleasantly surprised when his parents supported his decision. "I love them anyway," he joked, in regards to their Republican status. Gallagher said that his interest in politics was somewhat of a recent development. Initially, Gallagher said he blamed Bush for the state of the country, then turned the blame inward toward himself. " Not being active, and not knowing what was going on made me the ignorant one," he said.
